I know there are not HEAPS of you, but you're a lovely and loyal little bunch. I have decided to move all of my blog posts over to awhimofmine.blogspot.com. Various reasons. So this will be the last one over here! Thankyou for being nice.

Garage sales woo!
I like vintage dolls. Did you know that? I loved this one because of her suspicious eyes, but as you can see she is a little worse for wear, so pretty soon I'll be re-dressing her and perking her up. It will be fun. Apollo likes her.
I bought a bag of 12 doilies, and with one here is a little bit of nice that I made from one of the free patterns generously provided by Andrea Zuill at her blog. She's a very awesome artist, so if you haven't heard about her already I strongly suggest you check her out.
The words are lines from the poem, "Ode to Bird Watching," by Pablo Neruda.
These teeny stacking Scallop shells cost me ten cents. Seriously. I do not know what I will do with them, but I love them. The smallest is the size of my thumbnail!
Tooled leather binders!
And miles and miles of fabric, most have yet to be washed but there are some very nice and very large pieces, so I see some dressmaking in my not too distant future.
I hope everyone is well.

Hat
There is such a fine line between this blog and my other one, would it be weird to post the same thing in each? I think it would, but please go there to take a look at the incredible top hat I found. I thrifted the bajeesus out of it.

Lemon Sorbet
I tried this recipe for the first time today and it was the most perfectly perfect sweet, tart sorbet I have ever had in my life. Thank you, Frankie Magazine!

Recipe!
- 500ml freshly squeezed lemon juice, strained of pulp and pips
- 250g sugar (I used about 200 I think... I like it a little sour! )
- 250ml water
- 1 to 2 egg whites
Put the sugar and water in a saucepan and bring to a quiet boil until the sugar is dissolved. Let cool, then add the lemon juice.
Pour into a plastic container with a lid and freeze overnight (or for at least 8 hours).
Let it defrost slightly, then blend in a food processor or blender with an egg white or two. The mixture will increase in volume and turn a lighter colour.
Pour back into plastic container and freeze again.
Serve in scoops (You could always hollow out lemon halves, if you're feeling fancy) - either on its own or with a shot of limoncello or vodka, or a dollop of whipped cream.
Hope someone has a go, its sooooo good!

Rainy rainy rain.
The dogs were sad.
The cat was sad. And soggy.
But I got the best earrings I have ever seen. I want the yellow skirt from this post to wear with the gingerbread men.

Becoming a man.
We've been celebrating Sam's 21st around here, which has meant lots of parties with different groups of people and travelling around. Here are some highlights!

Cupcakes disguised as mini cheeseburgers that I made for a party.

An apple with a dingaling.

A potential purchase.

A gift from Sam's awesome auntie, Sue.

The Stupid Sock Creature I made for Sam, seems I promised Handmade gifts!
